At our Annual Meeting on July 1, 2023, Competent Public Advocates Foundation elected E. Lynette Stone President, Erika C. Norton Vice-President Letisa Smith Secretary during its annual meeting. The 3-elected officers were also elected Co-Treasurers.
Competent Public Advocates Foundation proudly announces the election of it's Officers for the 2023-2024 calendar year.
E. Lynette Stone, was elected the organization's President. Erika C. Norton was elected Vice-President. Letisa Smith was elected the organization's Secretary. The three elected officers were also elected co-treasurers of the organization and will share the responsibility of that role. The new Officers discussed plans for 2024 during the meeting following the elections.

In 2024, we will host The Children's Business Fair at Dallas' Farmer's Market.
Competent Public Advocates hosted the Children's Business Fair in June 2021 and again in 2022. The event was a huge success in both years.
We will again host a Children's Business Fair on June 1, 2024. Presently, we have 47 applicants for the 2024 Fair.
We were impressed by the children's professionalism. The children were also very well-prepared. Many of the children sell out of their inventory during the Fair.

Free simple legal solutions.
In 2023, Competent Public Advocates launched its Simple Legal Solutions Initiative. The Iniative focuses on providing low and no cost legal solutions and related resources to anyone who can benefit.
The campaign kicked off with a guide to states offering free forms to address important legal needs such as will writing. In May 2023, Texas' Supreme Court approved free estate planning forms. Competent Public Advocates will prepare an easy to use version of the forms for distribution and use by anyone who can benefit from the resource.
